Short school holidays also require planning! We give you some tips on keeping the kids occupied this October.
We had a real taste of summer this last weekend, and with schools breaking up for a short holiday, everyone gets a chance to smell the flowers and take in the changes in nature. For those of us who have to work while the children have some time off, it’s great to know that there are some fantastic activities on offer. Our events calendar shows you day-by-day what is happening, but we also wanted to give you a quick overview to choose from.
If your kids are interested in Artjamming Holiday Special
Catch some great entertainment that will take the parents back to their childhood with those funny little blue creatures - it’s Smurf’s Up at the Waterfront with ‘smurfalicious ‘prices up for grabs!

Budding chefs can learn some new tricks in the kitchen from Tots’n Pots or Nice Touch.
Puppetry fans can combine learning a new skill with a Storybox show featuring the child-sized puppet Benji, when the Moving Hands and Kalk Bay Theatre hosts a series of animation and puppetry workshops, as well as daily shows.

Happy Campers can join Kidz Get Wild for 3 and 5 day camps this October holiday!
Inquisitive minds will be excited about the Junior Biologist Course for Grade 10’s happening at the Two Oceans Aquarium; and for the younger ones (5-12yrs) will enjoy a journey to outer space with Michael Lion and the Star Pictures at Iziko Planetarium.
