Sunday fun

We finally found a play place where Mom & Dad can have fun too!

Planet Kids has been on the website for a while, and I have been there to see the premises, but not yet to actually try it out. This Sunday at midday, we all needed to get out of the house but since if was a very hot day, we wanted to be somewhere shady or indoors to get away from the worst sun exposure. I remembered that Andy from Planet Kids had sent me an email about their new outdoor play area, so this sounded like the right place for us.
We arrived there to find a nice, cool indoor area full of exciting options for the girls to play with, and some fun additions in the outdoor area even though this was not in the shade. We have been to many play places, and this one is quite unique in that they invite and encourage parents to play on the equipment with the children. imageThe jumping castles are large and robust, the ball wall gets the competitive spirit out in anyone who likes throwing or kicking balls, and the space boards - designed by Andy who is an OT - are s much fun to scoot around on and great for playing chase games. for more quiet play, there is a variety of quality wooden educational toys, and if you really like them, you can even purchase most of them at reception. We had a great time on the foofie slide (who knows how to spell this correctly?) outdoors, and were able to try out different options that are made especially for children with disabilities, and at the same time they enhance the experience for everyone. Planet Kids is an inclusive place where children with different ability levels can play together or next to each other, a situation most South Africans don’t get to experience very often. Their party options are also very flexible, especially with regards to offering healthy options for catering, cakes and party packs.
We had lots of fun and will definitely try this out again!
