The Cotlands Prenatal 2 Primary photo competition is a fundraising initiative to support the work of the Cotlands foundation. The competition is for children from birth to seven years old
and entrants stand in line to win great prizes to the value of R100 000.
Correctly complete an entry form and select the applicable age category — and attach a clear close-up photo of your child.
The entry is valid once the fixed donation fee of R40 (forty rand) has been paid and the entry form signed.
Competition closing date is 30 April 2010.

Each year thousands of entries are received and judged by a specially selected expert panel. From vivid, colourful landscapes to intimate portraits of animal behaviour, the Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition offers an extraordinary insight into the beauty, drama and diversity of the natural world.

Come and enjoy a game of golf and support a good cause at the same time. The format for the game of golf is American Scramble (9 holes) and we encourage both men and women to sign up. Registration from 10am and shotgun start at 11am sharp. The Tricycle Tour is a terrific way of introducing the sport of cycling to youngsters aged two to six. Parents are encouraged to enter their little ones for the 1,5km fun ride, presented by Powerade, where they will learn the essentials of cycling in a safe environment.

The Junior Tour is ideal for primary school students and offers either a 5km or 10km route. The race is presented by Spur Steak Ranches and parents on their own bikes are welcome to join first-timers on the track.

Situated at the Constantia Waldorf School, tucked away in the Kindergarten building is the only permanent Puppet Theatre in South Africa. The Rainbow Puppet Theatre has been performing to the public every Saturday morning at 10h00 and 11h15 for 17 years. Our artistically painted theatre has a permanent team of five puppeteers complimented with full stage lighting, beautiful glove, rod and shadow puppets and even live music.  We can seat up to 60 guests! Although our shows are widely regarded as entertainment for children, adults who come into contact with it soon fall under its enchanted spell. Aside from a few other stories, our Rainbow Puppet Theatre usually performs well-known Grimm’s Fairy Tales such as ‘Snow White and Rose Red’, ‘Sleeping Beauty’ and ‘Hansel and Gretel’.  We have about 16 different stories altogether which rotates on a monthly basis.

The show for the Month of March (leading up to the Easter Holiday) is The Brave Little Easter Rabbit. The Duration of the show is approx 35min.Parking is ample and free and we also have tea, coffee, juices and cake on sale.

Come and meet other single parents in a relaxed space while your kids enjoy themselves too.  And if you don’t have any kids of your own, bring a niece or nephew or a friend’s kid!
Adults free with every paying child.

New weekly Hip Hop Dance / Art Class, we will dance the first 1,5 hours and then we will customize Trainers, T-Shirts, Cap etc with the children. By June / July a Show of the new talents will be prepared. Ask us for details.

The month of March is the highlight of the winelands calendar, with the annual grape harvest approaching full swing. Winemakers wait at the ready to moblise picking teams, as the rising sugar content and colour of the grapes signal peak ripeness and beckon harvesting.
On Saturday 13 March, with activities at their peak, the Paarl winemakers will open doors to celebrate nature’s offerings. OmmiBerg ‘Round the Rock’ festival 2010 is a full day out for the family, with mums and dads previewing young, unfiltered wines while the kids are entertained with a wealth of activities.
Visitors will be given a glimpse into working wineries; picking their own grapes, taking tractor rides, stomping grapes and seeing how a grape press works. Adding to the excitement will be jumping castles, a petting zoo, slippery slides, pony rides and a ride on the famous goat’s wagon at the Fairview farm.
Parents can test their winemaking skills by creating their own blend, pairing the young unfiltered wines with traditional onion tart - a custom rooted in Germany and adapted by OmmiBerg. Families can take a trek to the top of the Taalmonument, sharing sumptuous picnic foods and stargazing into the night.
With 13 cellars taking part there’ll be no shortage of activities. Entry and most entertainment for kids will be offered for free, while a nominal over-18s fee of R50 will buy wine tastings and a commemorative glass. Food and non-alcoholic drinks will be available for sale, while a shuttle service will run between participating farms.

The Tricycle and Junior Tours will now take place the day before the Cape Argus Pick n Pay Cycle Tour, enabling out-of-town Cycle Tour participants to also enter their kids in this fun race.

Presented by Bonaqua and Spur Steak Ranches respectively, these fun rides provide entertainment for the whole family and are perfect for kids aged two to 12.
