Do you play an instrument and want to be part of an impromptu recording session? These sessions are a new concept at the SoundHouse. They are aimed at children who already play instruments, or can sing. The idea is to work as a group ensemble coming up with ideas as individuals, improvising as a group and resulting in a recording by the group(s). Although we have some instruments, please bring yours along! Please call for more information. Ages 10-15

“THE UGLY DUCKLING and Other Stories”. - The Ugly Duckling, The Kings New Clothes and The Princess and the Swineherd , are three magical stories by the Danish ‘weaver of dreams’, Hans Christian Anderson. Filled with colourful characters, this stage adaptation sticks closely to the original fairytales. All three stories have wonderful lessons to be learnt: Don’t be judgmental (Ugly Duckling) – an ugly duckling can turn into a beautiful swan, don’t be greedy (Princess and the Swineherd) and don’t be foolish (The kings new clothes). This show is a fairytale classic for the whole family and the duration of the show is 45 minutes.
