Muizenberg Beach

Surfer's paradise and more!

This is Cape Town’s surfer’s paradise! The local surf school and shop offers lessons and hires out equipment, so if you’re keen on waves, this is the place. The ever- blowing wind may not make it your first choice for sun bathing, but if your offspring is out there surfing and you’re not, take advantage of the opportunity for a relaxing moment with coffee and cake at the sidewalk cafe with a view to the beach. Or have a stroll along the beach, all the way to St. James with the chance to spot some whales (in season), or have a round of putt-putt! On the odd wind-free day, it is indeed a beautiful beach for the whole family and a very popular beach with lots of space. Check out the flags for shark warnings!
