Silvermine
Great hiking in easy terrain with stunning views
A great destination for a day’s outing. Enjoy the beautiful drive up Ou kaapse Weg before you embark on one of the enjoyable routes around the Silvermine area, with caves and lookout points as great midway goals. And end the hike with a picnic or braai in the designated area around the dam, with lots of space for the little ones to enjoy their own little adventure. Elephant’s Eye is a nice destination for a shorter trip, about two hours there and back, with breaks. Another plus of this area is the wheel chair and pram accessible path around the dam and picnic site.

Silvermine
Take the M3 south from Cape Town, turn right into Ou Kaapse Weg towards Noordhoek. Once on top of the mountain turn right into the Silvermine Reserve entrance gate.
