Kids Rule this winter!
Off up to visit Table Mountain? This World Heritage Site and icon of Cape Town is a complete fascination for all visitors and with Table Mountain Cableway allowing two kids to travel free with every full paying adult - (offer valid over weekends and public holidays from now to 31 October and every day of the following school holidays – 10 June to 12 July and 24 September to 3 October 2010), spending time here is awesome. The five-minute ascent to the top of Table Mountain offers a 360° view of Cape Town, the ocean and the neighboring peaks. Over 1000m above the City this friendly giant offers an opportunity to view the City from all angles. Take a free guided walk or complete the Winter Treasure Trail where you stand a chance of winning wonderful prizes. The Table Mountain Café offers a free hot chocolate or juice with every Kiddies Wonderland Meal that is purchased. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to win an exclusive Table Mountain Cableway beanie and scarf. Drop your entry off at the Shop at the Top. Also visit the Winter Wonderland at the top station where a variety of activities are being offered.
The kids’ entertainment programme is running during the five-week-long holiday and features a Winter Treasure Trail, spot prizes, magic shows, Diski dance lessons and craft activities. Children will be entertained and taken on guided walks by the Table Mountain Cableway characters - Ernie the Explorer and Dale the Dassie. Additional activities include story-telling of the Myths and Legends of Table Mountain.
Most of the kids’ activities are offered at the special Winter Wonderland Activity Centre located in top station building. To get to the Winter Wonderland, kids will have to follow the clues that are handed out by the Winter Fairy.
The Winter Wonderland is open every day from 9h00-16h00.
The Table Mountain Café is also offering a kiddies wonderland menu - pizza, hot dog or a chicken schnitzel for R30 each plus a free cup of hot chocolate or fruit juice.
