The Maze
Be a-maze-d by this little treasure next to the sea
On one of our sporadic Sunday afternoon strolls along the promenade, we finally discovered the sign "Maze open" and immediately took the opportunity for a bit ofweekend adventure. We were greeted by a smiling Jonathan Durr, passionate and humorous about his maze and how people from around the world come to experience it and love it. We did, too! The challenge is to find the middle, where you can "make a romantic wish" and pause to remember how to get back out. Our toddler seemed quite intrigued by the bushy passages and picked up on mom and dad’s excitement, and we kept bumping into a family with two teenagers who had great fun trying to hide from their parents and at the same time be the first to conquer the maze. To quote Mr Durr;"no ice cream stalls, no fancy adverts, just pure old natural fun" - and we agree!
