Tokai Forest and Arboretum
Mountain biker's favourite, but also great for hiking
Great for hot days as this area provides some shade, and there are lots of opportunities for little explorers on the different paths, which are generally not too hard. This is also a popular spot for mountain bikers of all levels. Watch out for baboons around the tea room! If you manage to walk all the way up to Silvermine Nature Reserve you can have a fresh bath in the dam up there!

Tokai Forest. Take the M3 south, Tokai off ramp and turn right into Tokai road. Follow straight along this road for a few km, go through the traffic circle and left at the Manor House (t-junction). Parking at the Arboretum.
