Reviews

The Waterfront is and will always be one of the most popular hang-out’s for tourists in Cape Town because of it’s location, variety and safety. Increasingly, it has also become more interesting for locals with events that happen on an annual basis and an even more child-friendly environment. The amphitheatre offers free entertainment and a nice place to sit and watch people while you’re having a snack. Take a boat trip around the harbour or a walk along the wharf to the Clock Tower. Don’t be baffled if the bridge you crossed isn’t there when you want to return! It will swing back eventually… Lots of seals find hide-outs along the docks, and there are always various entertainers at different spots, so when you get bored of one, just move on and look for the next. The craft markets (Red Shed inside the V&A and Blue Shed on the way to the Aquarium) offer an insight into the variety of local talents, and you can even get a very reasonable facial treatment or back massage if need be. There are restaurants, take-aways and coffee shops for every wallet and taste bud, so everyone should be able to find something they like.
