Chris Wildman’s Music Play
Creative music and movement classes for young children aged 4-7
Music Therapist and teacher Chris Wildman has been running Music Play classes for the past twenty years in Cape Town. In a Music Play class, children use their musical intelligence to develop physical, emotional and social skills in a context of co-creative play. Unlike other more cognitive-based programmes, Music Play explores creative improvisation through semi-structured activities: here children learn to jam! In Music Play children have a chance to discover and display musical self-reliance as a foundation for further learning even if they do not become active musicians later in life. The term fee includes CDs of the music used in the sessions.

Beau Soleil Music Centre is located at 12 Salisbury Street, Kenilworth.
Salisbury Street if a turning off Wetton Road (opposite Maynard Mall parking)
Its the first large building on the right after an open field. Enter through the large iron gates and park at the rear. My classes are held in the prefab to the left of the main building.

Music Play with Chris is a MUSSSST for ALL !!! My three children so enjoyed Chris’s classes and now…., aged 22 years old and 17 and 17 , they STILL remember the fun they had jamming!
More importantly, thanks to the positive musical experience, they all continued to enjoy Music at every stage of their development. While none of them took Music as a subject at school, they all regard Music as one of the most important aspects of their life and cannot survive a minute, without listening to someone playing an instrument, ANY instrument ... or singing!!!
